Matt Sponheimer's Class Stuff

Welcome to Class Stuff. You will find assorted posts and readings that are at least tangentially related to my classes on this page. This is meant to be a student resource, albeit a loosely organized and broad one. For those who are interested in learning a bit about my work there are links to some of my publications and my CV on the sidebar.

ANTH 5795 Readings

We will read a few of my papers for class next week, and all are of fairly recent vintage. They involve early hominin landscape use, the diet of Paranthropus boisei, and a broad, slightly older (and much longer) review of early hominin diets. You should use the CU VPN to access these, but most of my publications are also available here.

I would also like you to read this paper by Ackermann & Smith as it challenges many aspects of our understanding of hominin evolution and will be good fodder for discussion.
